G + G Gelato is a family business managed by Italian owners, which has been established in Germany for 40 years and is a partner of Süd-Eis.
Gelato, the Italian word for ice, is an expression for something very special, our understanding of ice, which always differs from the "traditional". G + G gelato is tradition and innovation in one. Traditional Italian ice cream art and originality, so that our customers never get bored. Maybe we're just a bit more temperamental than others.
1974 the success story of the company named today G + G gelato began. This year the brothers Gianfranco and Graziano Piccoli started selling their famous Italian food ice cream. At that time "ice-transporters" drove through Ost-Westfalen Lippe. A few years later, these "transporters" were replaced by a multitude of Piccoli ice cream cafés in the individual regions.
Due to the great success, the famous Piccoli ice cream had to be made centrally. This happened several years in Lemgo. In the year 1995, the Piccoli brothers joined together with the Osnabrück-based company Roncadin, which was still a family business, founded the company L ' Italiano ice cream and managed it until the end of the year 2005. Under the name of G & G Gelato, the new ice factory in Osnabrück went into operation in the year 2008.
In the modern, rigorously model-oriented fabrication, daily in small quantities of the best raw materials such as milk, butter or cocoa Italian ice cream formulations are processed and daily to the ice cream cafés Piccoli, Piccoli gelato shops and other Italian ice cream parlours.
